In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored a good 64-49 triumph over the West Wilkes Blackhawks.
The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Forbush was toppled by Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 83-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blackhawks confront the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. West Wilkes will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 57-44 non-league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
