In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers basketball team scored a good 62-48 win over the Overbrook Panthers.

The Fightin' Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, PA). The Cougars come into the Central contest with a 1-0 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Imhotep Charter Panthers (Philadelphia, PA) in a Philadelphia Public - Independence contest, on Thursday, December 5.
