The Newport Greyhounds basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Pangburn Tigers to 51 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Greyhounds now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Crowley's Ridge Academy for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. Newport will confront a Falcons team coming off a 72-52 non-league win over Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR). The Falcons record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Pangburn falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lisa Academy North (Sherwood, AR) to confront the Jaguars in a 3A Region 6 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 7-5.
