Virginia High School Basketball - Briar Woods succumbs to Meridian

December 3, 2024: Falls Church, VA 22043

The Meridian Mustangs defeated the visiting Briar Woods Falcons basketball squad by a final score of 48-37 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Kettle Run Cougars (Nokesville, VA) in a Northwestern outing, on Friday, December 6. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 68-24 league loss to Millbrook (Winchester, VA).

The Falcons (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA). The Vikings come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Loudoun Valley was defeated by Potomac Falls (Sterling, VA), 59-50, in a non-league outing.
