In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Red Lake County Central Mustangs basketball team scored a good 63-55 triumph over the Crookston Pirates.
The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Clearbrook-Gonvick (Clearbrook, MN). The Bears go into the A Section 8 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Clearbrook-Gonvick was topped by Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN), 86-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Warroad Warriors (Warroad, MN) in a AA Section 8 battle, on Friday, December 6. Crookston will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 0-5 record after their 75-27 league loss to Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (Badger, MN).
