The Independence Eagles basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host LaVergne Wolverines to 42 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Hillsboro for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Independence will play a Burros team coming off a 65-46 non-league loss to Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN). The Burros record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, LaVergne falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Franklin (Franklin, TN) to play the Admirals in a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. The Admirals go into the game with a record of 3-1. Franklin won 46-23 in their recent non-league game against Kirkwood (Clarksville, TN)
