In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Lone Star Rangers basketball squad scored a tight 52-51 victory over the Walnut Grove Wildcats.

With the victory, Lone Star advances its record to 5-10 on the year. The Rangers travel to Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX) to meet the Trojans in a 5A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, December 10. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 11-0.

The Wildcats now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denison for a 5A Region II District 9 battle on Tuesday, December 10.
