The McDowell Titans basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host R-S Central Hilltoppers to 40 in the Titans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Titans now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. McDowell will confront a Spartans team coming off a 56-36 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, R-S Central falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to confront the Bearcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 2-0. Hendersonville won 57-41 in their recent non-league game against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)
