    Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) boosters were content Wednesday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), 24-13 in a non-league match.

    The Tigers (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Cheshire (Cheshire, CT). The Rams go into the non-league battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Cheshire prevailed over Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 32-29, in a non-league battle.

    The Nighthawks now own a 8-4 record.
