North Carolina High School Basketball - Newton-Conover trounced by Alexander Central

The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball squad (Newton, NC), was crushed 66-30 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)

With the win, Alexander Central improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to encounter the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 10. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Ashe County lost 58-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Avery County (Newland, NC)

In their next game, the Red Devils encounter the North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 4. Newton-Conover will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 49-31 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
