Mississippi High School Basketball - Wayne County can't hold off Harrison Central

The Harrison Central Red Rebels basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Wayne County War Eagles to 58 in the Red Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Red Rebels now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hancock for a 6A Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Harrison Central will battle a Hawks team coming off a 63-39 non-league loss to Tupelo (Tupelo, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 4-4.

The War Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS). The Tigers enter the 5A Region 6 contest with a 6-7 record.
