Unioto Shermans (Chillicothe, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), 59-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Unioto upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Shermans host Jackson (Jackson, OH) to play the Ironman/Ironladies in a non-league bout on Monday, January 2. The Ironman/Ironladies go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Jackson lost 53-33 in their recent non-league bout against Warren (Vincent, OH)

Next up, the Spartans play the Fairfield Union Falcons (Lancaster, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Alexander will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 55-45 non-league win over Sheridan (Thornville, OH).
