In Friday's non-league outing, the Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) basketball squad beat the visiting Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC), by a margin of 49-38.
The Volunteers (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Patriots go into the AA Region 5 outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, York Prep defeated Lewisville (Richburg, SC), 50-49, in a non-league outing.
The Capitals now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Batesburg-Leesville for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 3. Columbia will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 82-36 non-league loss to Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-10.
