Ceres Bulldogs (Ceres, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Buhach Colony Thunder (Atwater, CA), 63-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ceres upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Lathrop (Lathrop, CA) to clash with the Spartans in a Western Athletic Conference bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Thunder clash with the Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) in a Central California Conference bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Buhach Colony will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 61-58 non-league win over Argonaut (Jackson, CA).
