Crockett Cougars (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lehman Lobos (Kyle, TX), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Crockett upgrades its record to 3-18 on the season. The Cougars host McCallum (Austin, TX) to clash with the Knights in a 5A Region III District 24 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-10. McCallum lost 70-51 in their recent non-league bout against Chaparral (Killeen, TX)

Next up, the Lobos clash with the Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lehman will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 102-33 non-league win over Graham (Graham, TX).
