Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Roosevelt Roughriders (Washington, DC) and the host Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (Greenbelt, MD), saw Roosevelt's basketball squad hold off Eleanor Roosevelt by a count of 65-62.

With the victory, Roosevelt upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Woodson (Washington, DC) to play the Warriors in a DCSAA AA challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Woodson won 72-61 in their recent league challenge against Ron Brown (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Raiders play the Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Eleanor Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
