In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Fairfax Lions basketball team scored a good 59-45 triumph over the Freeman Mavericks.
In their next game, the Lions meet the Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA) in a District 4 match, on Tuesday, January 3. Fairfax will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Bruins enter the match with a 2-7 record after their 62-44 non-league loss to Battlefield (Haymarket, VA).
