In Friday's non-league match, the host Sycamore Aviators basketball team scored a good 61-47 triumph over the Fairmont Firebirds.
In their next game, the Aviators face the Middletown Middies (Middletown, OH) in a Greater Miami match, on Tuesday, January 3. Sycamore will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Middies enter the match with a 6-3 record after their 69-46 non-league win over Purcell Marian (Cincinnati, OH).
With the defeat, Fairmont moves to 4-5 on the year. The Firebirds host Oakwood (Dayton, OH) to face the Lumberjacks in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 10. The Lumberjacks enter the match with a record of 6-3.
