Hadley Luzerne Eagles (Lake Luzerne, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fort Edward Flying Forts (Fort Edward, NY), 56-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Hadley Luzerne upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Eagles host Whitehall (Whitehall, NY) to clash with the Railroaders in a Section 2 Adirondack bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Railroaders go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Whitehall won 58-32 in their recent non-league bout against Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY)

Next up, the Flying Forts clash with the Fort Ann Cardinals (Fort Ann, NY) in a Section 2 Adirondack bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Fort Edward will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 59-56 league loss to Argyle (Argyle, NY).
