The Waterloo Vikings ran past the visiting Garfield G-Men basketball team by a final score of 47-33 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Vikings confront the Jackson-Milton Bluejays (North Jackson, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet battle, on Tuesday, January 3. Waterloo will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Bluejays come into the battle with a 4-5 record after their 65-59 non-league loss to Chalker (Southington, OH).
The G-Men (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Champion (Warren, OH). The Golden Flashes come into the Mahoning Valley - Grey battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Champion was toppled by Windham (Windham, OH), 67-51, in a non-league battle.
