Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX), 55-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spring Hill upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Panthers host Center (Center, TX) to play the Roughriders in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Center won 62-58 in their recent non-league bout against Orangefield (Orangefield, TX)

Next up, the Bears play the Daingerfield Tigers (Daingerfield, TX) in a 3A Region II District 15 bout, on Friday, January 13. Gladewater will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
