North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence nudges Berry

December 30, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28208

In Friday's non-league outing, the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad edged the host Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 35-28.

The Patriots (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers go into the 4A Conference 59 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Providence held off West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 67-39, in a non-league outing.

The Cardinal now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Olympic for a 4A Conference 49 outing on Tuesday, January 3. Berry will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 72-46 non-league win over Holy Innocents Episcopal (Atlanta, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-0.
