The New Haven Rockets basketball team scored 85 points and held the host Kearsley Hornets to 40 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Rockets now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grosse Pointe North for a Macomb Area - White contest on Friday, January 6. New Haven will battle a Norsemen team coming off a 64-34 non-league win over Armada (Armada, MI). The Norsemen record now stands at 4-2.
The Hornets (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hamady (Flint, MI). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Hamady triumphed over East English Village Prep (Detroit, MI), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
