Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 90-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lake Norman upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to play the Ragin' Bulls in a 4A Conference 57 bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Ragin' Bulls come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Hickory Ridge lost 87-58 in their recent non-league bout against Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) in a 3A Conference 48 bout, on Friday, January 6. Lake Norman Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 68-61 non-league win over Carson (China Grove, NC).
