McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers (Bronx, NY), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDonogh upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, MD) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Our Lady of Mount Carmel lost 47-37 in their recent non-league bout against St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD)

Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY) in a Catholic AA - New York bout, on Saturday, January 7. Mt. St. Michael Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
