Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA) and the host Mojave Mustangs (Mojave, CA), saw South's basketball squad wallop Mojave by a tally of 84-17.

With the victory, South improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA) to play the Warriors in a South Yosemite - Mountain challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-9.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Immanuel Christian Crusaders (Ridgecrest, CA) in a Hi-Lo challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Mojave will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
