In Friday's non-league test, the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers basketball squad scored a close 43-42 win over the New Knoxville Rangers.

The Golden Gophers (3-5) will now prepare for their test against North Union (Richwood, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, North Union was tipped by Bellefontaine (Bellefontaine, OH), 65-33, in a non-league test.

The Rangers now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Minster for a Midwest test on Friday, January 20.
