The Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX), 64-35 in Friday's non-league test.
The Indians (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Lee (Baytown, TX). The Ganders go into the 5A Region III District 17 test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Lee was trounced by South Houston (South Houston, TX), 68-47, in a non-league test.
The Longhorns now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Anahuac for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Tarkington will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 52-43 non-league loss to Pollok Central (Pollok, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-9.
