In Friday's non-league outing, the West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates (Princeton Junction, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ), by a count of 48-42.

The Pirates (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Ewing (Trenton, NJ). The Blue Devils go into the Colonial Valley outing with a 7-0 record. In their last outing, Ewing held off Allentown (Allentown, NJ), 50-39, in a league outing.

The Rams now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Donovan Catholic for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 3. Southern Regional will clash with a Griffins squad coming off a 52-49 non-league loss to Freehold Township (Freehold, NJ). The Griffins record now stands at 0-3.
