Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Williamstown Demons (Williamstown, KY), 61-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westminster Catawba Christian upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 31. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Mallard Creek won 57-56 in their recent non-league bout against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Demons clash with the Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY) in a District 32 bout, on Monday, January 2. Williamstown will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 88-41 non-league win over Apollo (Owensboro, KY).
