Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Altamont Longhorns (Altamont, UT), 49-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wayne upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Badgers host Panguitch (Panguitch, UT) to play the Bobcats in a 1A Region 20 bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Panguitch won 48-32 in their recent non-league bout against Enterprise (Enterprise, UT)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Manila Mustangs (Manila, UT) in a 1A Region 22 bout, on Friday, January 6. Altamont will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 46-36 non-league loss to South Summit (Kamas, UT).
