Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Orland Trojans (Orland, CA), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Berkeley upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA) to play the Dragons in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Bishop O'Dowd won 71-51 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Fresno, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Orland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to Portola (Portola, CA).
