The Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Brookland-Cayce Bearcats to 34 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denmark-Olar for a A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will battle a Vikings team coming off a 64-28 non-league win over Barnwell (Barnwell, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 9-2.
The Bearcats (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Horse Creek Academy (Aiken, SC). The Stallions come into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Horse Creek Academy dropped by Pelion (Pelion, SC), 35-27, in a non-league contest.
