Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Trinity Chargers (Midland, TX), 38-13 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Christ the King Cathedral upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Golden Lions travel to All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX) to play the Patriots in a TAPPS 2A District 1 bout on Friday, January 6. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 13-0.

Next up, the Chargers play the Fellowship Academy Mustangs (Kennedale, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 6. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
