The DeSales Irish (Walla Walla, WA) basketball crushed the host McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), 59-29 in Friday's non-league test.
The Irish (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Yakama Nation Tribal (Toppenish, WA). The Eagles go into the 1B Southeast test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Yakama Nation Tribal walloped Kiona-Benton (Benton City, WA), 52-35, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to La Grande for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. McLoughlin will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 52-30 non-league win over Sisters (Sisters, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
