Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Durfee Hilltoppers (Fall River, MA) and the host Holliston Panthers (Holliston, MA), saw Durfee's basketball squad knock off Holliston by a tally of 49-29.

With the victory, Durfee improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Seekonk (Seekonk, MA) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Panthers play the Norwood Mustangs (Norwood, MA) in a Tri-Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Holliston will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 56-48 non-league loss to Walpole (Walpole, MA).
