The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Smoky Mountain won 55-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Brevard (Brevard, NC)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Madison will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 54-38 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
