Texas High School Basketball - Walker knocked off by John Paul II

The John Paul II Cardinals basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Walker Wildcats to 41 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prestonwood Christian for a TAPPS 6A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 3. John Paul II will meet a Lions team coming off a 61-31 non-league win over Pecos (Pecos, TX). The Lions record now stands at 11-8.

The Wildcats (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA). The Gators enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, LaGrange was outscored by Carencro (Lafayette, LA), 55-34, in a non-league contest.
