Tennessee High School Basketball - Mitchell County trounced by Lipscomb Academy

December 30, 2022: Nashville, TN 37204

The Lipscomb Academy Mustangs routed the visiting Mitchell County Eagles basketball team by a final score of 59-28 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN) in a Division II-AA Middle game, on Tuesday, January 3. Lipscomb Academy will attempt to move on its 6-8 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 6-6 record after their 47-36 non-league loss to Grace Christian Academy (Franklin, TN).

With the defeat, Mitchell County moves to 6-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to Pelham (Pelham, GA) to face the Hornets in a non-league game on Saturday, January 7. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 5-2.
