Tamarac Bengals (Troy, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball team achieve victory over the host Maple Hill Wildcats (Castleton on Hudson, NY), 49-41 in a non-league battle.

The Bengals now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berlin for a Section 2 Wasaren battle on Friday, January 6. Tamarac will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 50-39 league loss to Saratoga Central Catholic (Saratoga Springs, NY). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-7.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Germantown (Germantown, NY). The Clippers come into the Section 2 Patroon battle with a 0-4 record.
