The Marshall Hilltoppers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Royalton Royals to 49 in the Hilltoppers non-league victory on Friday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grand Rapids for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Marshall will battle a Thunderhawks team coming off a 68-46 non-league win over Rocori (Cold Spring, MN). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 9-2.

The Royals (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 1-5 record.
