Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Martin County can't hold off Springfield

The Springfield Cougars basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Martin County Cardinals to 46 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Upper Darby for a Central contest on Thursday, January 5. Springfield will battle a Royals team coming off a 70-34 league loss to Conestoga (Berwyn, PA). The Royals record now stands at 2-4.
The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
