Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY) and the visiting Massena Red Raiders (Massena, NY), saw Plattsburgh's basketball squad hold off Massena by a tally of 27-20.

With the victory, Plattsburgh improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY) to play the Cougars in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers (Norwood, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Massena will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
