Texas High School Basketball - Miles can't hold off Water Valley

The Water Valley Wildcats basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Miles Bulldogs to 39 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sonora for a 2A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Water Valley will battle a Broncos team coming off a 41-23 non-league win over Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 12-7.

The Bulldogs (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bangs (Bangs, TX). The Dragons enter the 2A Region I District 8 contest with a 8-13 record. In their last contest, Bangs was nudged by Comanche (Comanche, TX), 61-20, in a non-league contest.
