Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) and the host Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), saw St. Francis's basketball squad knock off Plainfield Central by a tally of 58-42.
With the victory, St. Francis improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to play the Green Wave in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a record of 3-10.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - West challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Plainfield Central will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 35-26 non-league win over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL).
