Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Lions (Laurel, MD), 82-73 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Great Mills upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Coppin Academy (Baltimore, MD) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-3.
Next up, the Lions play the College Park Academy (Riverdale, MD) in a bout, on Saturday, January 7. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
