LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights (Arthur, IL), 64-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, LeRoy upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL) to play the Titans in a Heart of Illinois bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 11-2. El Paso-Gridley won 49-48 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie bout, on Friday, January 5. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL).
