In Saturday's non-league outing, the Azusa Aztecs (Azusa, CA) basketball squad edged the host Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA), by a count of 2-0.
The Aztecs (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Nogales (La Puente, CA). The Nobles go into the Montview outing with a 9-8 record.
The Lancers now hold a 0-9 record. They play next when they host Foothill Tech for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Avalon will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 65-42 non-league win over Nordhoff (Ojai, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 6-10.
