The Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) basketball nipped the host Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA), 59-58 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Leopards (8-6) will now prepare for their test against East Jackson (Commerce, GA). The Eagles go into the AA Region 8 test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, East Jackson was tipped by Apalachee (Winder, GA), 62-60, in a non-league test.

The Red Raiders now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Walnut Grove for a AAAA Region 8 test on Wednesday, January 3. Madison County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 60-48 non-league win over Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 9-3.
