Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), 41-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bishop Shanahan upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to East (West Chester, PA) to play the Vikings in a Ches-Mont - National bout on Thursday, January 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-3. East won 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Penn Wood (Lansdowne, PA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Lower Merion Aces (Ardmore, PA) in a Central bout, on Thursday, January 4. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
